the central unit power supply fuse : SOLUTION = Replace the
fuse • check
the on/off switch and the electronic card : SOLUTION= Replace
the switch of the electronic card. • check
the electronics control unit : SOLUTION= Check the electronic
control

MACHINE DOES NOT HEAT OR IS NOT
PRESSURISED • SYMPTOM : Heating Element (Resistor) Not
Powered • check the correct voltage of the resistor :
SOLUTION = Reset power • if the voltage is correct,check
the exact polarity on the leads of the resistor : SOLUTION =
Replace the resistor. • check the electrical contacts :
SOLUTION = Repair or replace the contacts. • reset and
check that the safety thermostat is powered : SOLUTION =
Replace the safety thermostat. • make sure that the
pressure switch is powered : SOLUTION = Replace the
thermostat. • where envisaged,make sure that the power
relay is powered : SOLUTION = Replace the relay • incorrect
boiler pressure readout ( no steam ) : SOLUTION = Check the
anti-vacuum system,replace as required. • check the main
water supply : SOLUTION = Reset water • make sure the inlet
valve is open : SOLUTION = Open the inlet valve • check the
self-leveling function : SOLUTION = Replace the self-leveling
probe • make sure that the self-leveling probe is powered
and that the internal piston is not obstructed : SOLUTION = If
not, make sure that the appropriate fuse in the main control
unit is working properly, otherwise replace. • check the
retainer valve : SOLUTION = Clean the valve and replace the
seal. • SYMPTOM : Too Much Water In The Boiler. • check
the auto-level solenoid for leaks : SOLUTION = Replace the
auto-level solenoid • check the auto-level solenoid voltage
: SOLUTION = If not working correctly' replace it. If it is
working, check ( clean ) the auto-level probe.Check the
control unit. • check the manual filling valve for leaks :
SOLUTION = Replace the valve • check the heat exchanger for
leaks : SOLUTION = Replace the boiler • check the
auto-level valve : SOLUTION = Replace the self-leveling
probe. |

NO WATER DELIVERY THROUGH THE SUPPLY UNIT •
SYMPTOM : Loss Of Water • check the main water supply :
SOLUTION = Reset water • make sure the inlet valve is open
: SOLUTION = Open the water inlet valve • SYMPTOM : Loss Of
Power In The Supply Circuit • make sure that the 3-way
solenoid is powered • check the supply circuit button :
SOLUTION = Replace the main electronic card or the " dashboard
" card. • SYMPTOM : Physical Blockage ( Caused By Deposits
Or Unusual ) • check girl clamping : SOLUTION = Check girl
clamping • check the 3-way solenoid support clamping :
SOLUTION = Clean or replace it • check the 3-way solenoid
clamping : SOLUTION = Clean or replace it • check the
connection holes between the sprays and the pre-infusion
chamber, the 3-way valve and the gigleur : SOLUTION =
Clean • check the secondary retainer valve in the coffee
circuit : SOLUTION = Replace it • check the heat exchanger
clamping : SOLUTION = Clean it • check the doser-gigleur
clamping : SOLUTION = Clean or replace it • SYMPTOM : Pump
• make sure that pressure is correct ( 7-9 bar ) :
SOLUTION = Replace the pump • check pump rotation :
SOLUTION = Release or replace it • make sure the motor is

INCONSISTENT COFFEE DELIVERY •
SYMPTOM : Continuous Delivery • check the electrical
connections of the doser : SOLUTION = Clean and reconnect or
Replace the doser. If the doser causes impulses, replace the
electronic control card. • SYMPTOM : Inconsistent Delivery
( Long ) • make sure that the doser generates impulses :
SOLUTION = Replace the doser. If the doser causes impulses,
replace the electronic card. • SYMPTOM : Inconsistent
Supply ( Short ) • check the expansion valve ( neplax ) for
leaks through the supply unit during delivery : SOLUTION =
Remove, clean or replace the gasket. • check the 3-way
valve for leaks through the supply unit during delivery :
SOLUTION = Replace the 3-way solenoid. • check the retainer
valve : SOLUTION = Clean or replace the gasket. • SYMPTOM :
Too Slow • sprays blocked : SOLUTION = Replace them •
coffee too light in color : SOLUTION = Adjust the grinding (
grinder doser ). • gigleur clogged : SOLUTION = Clean or
replace it • pump pressure too low : SOLUTION =
Adjust pump pressure ( 7-9 bar ) . Replace the pump. •
check the heat exchanger , the pipes and the gigleur for
obstructions : SOLUTION = Change the pipes, clean the heat
exchanger with acid, clean the unit, check the function of the
water depurator. • SYMPTOM : Too Fast • coffee doses to
small : SOLUTION = Adjust the coffee dose • grinding to
large : SOLUTION = Adjust the setting of the
grinder-doser • pump pressure too high : SOLUTION = Adjust
pump pressure ( 7-9 bar ). Replace the pump • SYMPTOM :
Leaks Around The Filter-Holder • check underneath the
sheath of the filter : SOLUTION = Replace it • check the
edge of the filter : SOLUTION = Replace it |

valve casings : SOLUTION = Clean the valves and replace the
sheaths. • SYMPTOM : No Steam • check the steam sprayers
: SOLUTIONS = Clean or replace them. ALSO

pressurized ). HOT WATER VALVE • SYMPTOM : Loss Of Water
( Manual ) • check the valve seals : SOLUTION = Clean the
valves and replace the seals. • SYMPTOM : Loss Of Water (
Automatic ) • check the solenoid
voltage.
• SYMPTOM : No Water ( Automatic ) • check the solenoid
voltage • SYMPTOM : No Water - Only Steam • check the
water level in the boiler : SOLUTION = ALSO SEE : " ( Machine
does not heat or is not pressurized )" and " ( Water leaks )

WET COFFEE GROUNDS ( AFTER DELIVERY
) • SYMPTOM : Delivery Water To Cold • check the water
economy valve , if fitted : SOLUTION = Adjust the flow using
the knob. Replace it • SYMPTOM : Water Leaks From The
Coffee Grounds In The Filter-Holder After Infusion • check
the position of the blower ( Mac Cup & Program ) :
SOLUTION = Fit the blower correctly • check the 3-way
solenoid discharge : SOLUTION = Clean or replace it • check
the pipe routing from the sprayers to the 3-way solenoid :
SOLUTION = Clean • check the temperature of the unit (
external 80-85 degrees C ) • check the coffee dose :
SOLUTION = Adjust the coffee dose ( grinder-doser ) • check
the coffee grinding : SOLUTION = Adjust the setting of the
grinder-doser • check the coffee pressing : SOLUTION =
Inform the user about the correct pressure of the coffee
